About the Role
As a Digital Product Manager – Payments, you will lead the design and delivery of innovative digital payment solutions that align with business goals and customer needs. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, compliance, and partnerships—you'll drive the evolution of our digital payments platform to power growth, operational excellence, and seamless customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Drive AI-enabled initiatives to optimize compliance, streamline settlement processes, and enhance operational efficiency—achieving cost reduction and improved regulatory alignment.
Own and execute the roadmap for key payment products such as P2P transfers, merchant payments, card issuance, and payment gateways.
Define clear, actionable product requirements, wireframes, and prototypes to guide development.
Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs), leveraging data insights and user feedback to iterate and improve products.
Lead multidisciplinary teams—including engineering, design, QA, and business analysts—to build and launch impactful features efficiently.
Champion Agile best practices across sprints, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure smooth and timely execution.
Manage the full product lifecycle—from concept to MVP to launch—ensuring delivery of high-quality digital experiences.
Conduct market and tech research to explore emerging solutions, assess feasibility, and propose new product opportunities.
Benchmark against competitors and keep pace with evolving trends in fintech, blockchain, digital wallets, and embedded finance.
Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Customer Experience to support go-to-market strategies and post-launch enhancements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM fields; MBA or Master's degree is an advantage.
5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, or Consulting—preferably in fintech, payments, or a high-growth tech environment.
In-depth knowledge of the payments landscape, including acquiring/issuing, card schemes, local rails, wallets, and processors.
Proven track record of shipping scalable B2B or consumer financial products.
Familiarity with modern payment infrastructure, APIs, blockchain, smart contracts, and stablecoins.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; adept at data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and business domains.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments.
Sound knowledge of mobile, web, and cloud-based technologies and their impact on product delivery.
Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI applications is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in fintech startups or fast-scaling digital environments.
Understanding of fraud mitigation, KYB/AML compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Background in software engineering, data science, or analytics.
Hands-on experience with real-time or cross-border payment systems.
Proficiency in tools and technologies like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Git, Python, SQL, JavaScript, Tableau, and BPM methodologies.
