Senior Quality Engineer, Automation

The key to delivering high-quality solutions lies in the execution of robust automated test strategies.

This role requires collaboration skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and a commitment to delivering scalable enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Design and Development:
    • Develop scalable and maintainable automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend components.
    • Build end-to-end test scenarios using tools like Selenium, Postman, Cucumber.
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Test Strategy and Planning:
    • Define test strategies that align with product goals.
    • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business analysts to review requirements.
    • Identify test scenarios.
    • Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, performance, and load testing.
  • Quality Ownership:
    • Document and track bugs/defects through defect lifecycle tools like Atlassian JIRA.
    • Drive root cause analysis for production bugs and ensure test coverage is updated.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Mentor junior QA engineers and share knowledge of best practices in test automation.
    • Recommend improvements in development and testing processes for higher product quality.
    • Conduct code reviews for test automation scripts.
  • Reporting and Metrics:
    • Track test coverage, execution results, and quality KPIs.
    • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Performance Testing:
    • Validate system performance under expected and peak load conditions using Apache JMeter.
