Technical Support Engineer – Singapore (IT, AV & Enterprise Infrastructure)Position Overview We are looking for a hands‐on and customer‐focused Technical Support Engineer to support our projects and service delivery operations in Singapore. This role is responsible for onsite project supervision, installation of IT & AV systems, basic configuration, troubleshooting, and coordination of RMA and vendor support. You will work closely with our engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth, timely, and high‐quality delivery for our customers. Key Responsibilities 1. Onsite Project Support & Supervision Attend customer sites to supervise day‐to‐day project activities. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure tasks are completed as per design and schedule. Conduct site readiness checks, compliance checks, and ensure installation follows standards and safety guidelines. 2. Installation of IT & AV Equipment Perform physical installation and setup of: Network devices (switches, routers, APs, firewalls)Server hardware and racks AV equipment (displays, projectors, speakers, VC systems, microphones)Cabling and connectivity elements Verify power, network, and physical infrastructure requirements before installation. 3. Initial Configuration & System Setup Perform basic device configuration such as IP setup, firmware upgrades, patching, access configuration, and device activation. Assist senior engineers with initial integration, testing, and validation. Ensure all configurations follow guidelines and documentation. 4. Onsite Troubleshooting & Support Respond to customer support calls for IT/AV issues. Diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, network, and AV‐related problems. Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or OEM support, ensuring clear documentation and logs. 5. RMA & Vendor Coordination Identify defective hardware requiring RMA. Coordinate with OEMs/distributors for RMA processing, tracking, and replacements. Manage collection, shipment, return, and installation of replaced equipment. 6. Documentation & Reporting Prepare installation reports, test reports, site photos, and checklists. Update service tickets, project trackers, and customer logs. Provide daily/weekly status updates to project managers. Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's in IT, Networking, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field. 1–3 years hands‐on experience in IT/AV installation, field support, or technical services. Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN), IT hardware, and AV systems. Experience with customer‐facing roles and onsite support. Strong troubleshooting, problem‐solving, and communication skills. Ability to read basic schematics, drawings, and rack layouts. Physically able to handle equipment installation when required. Preferred Skills Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, or AVIXA CTS (advantageous but not mandatory). Experience in data center or enterprise IT environments. Experience with VC systems (Zoom Rooms, MS Teams Rooms, Logitech, Poly, Neat, etc.). Familiarity with IT/AV cabling standards. Personal Attributes Customer‐focused mindset with professionalism and discipline. Willingness to work onsite, travel within Singapore, and support occasional after‐hours activities. High ownership, reliability, and ability to work independently in the field. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn advanced technologies.
