Head of Finance

Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive sustainable growth. Based in Singapore, this role will oversee all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and compliance while supporting corporate development initiatives such as fundraising, M&A, and international expansion. The ideal candidate will bring extensive cross-border finance experience, strong expertise in corporate accounting and tax structuring, and proven leadership in scaling startup financial operations from Series A through Series C. This role requires a finance leader who can balance strategic vision with operational rigor in a high-growth, fast-moving environment. Financial Leadership & Strategy Lead overall financial strategy, planning, and execution to support business growth. Partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape financial models, forecasts, and capital allocation decisions. Drive fundraising initiatives, including equity, debt financing, and investor relations across Series A–C growth stages. Financial Operations & Governance Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and audit functions in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and international frameworks (IFRS/USGAAP). Ensure robust cash flow management, working capital optimization, and treasury operations. Strengthen governance through sound risk management, compliance, and internal controls. Corporate Development and M&A Lead financial due diligence, valuations, and structuring for M&A transactions. Manage vendor assistance, legal and tax structuring, refinancing, and post-acquisition integration. Standardize accounting policies and consolidate group reporting across multiple geographies. Startup Scaling & Systems Leadership Establish scalable finance processes, systems, and controls tailored for high-growth startups. Implement financial planning & analysis (FP&A) frameworks that align with investor expectations from Series A to Series C. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting rapid scale. Optimize financial systems, business intelligence tools, and performance dashboards. Work experience/Skills required: Qualification ACCA / Chartered Accountant or equivalent (DEC graduate, Master of Accountancy, or higher). Experience 8+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including SVP/VP/Head of Finance equivalent roles. Proven expertise in corporate accounting, financial structuring, and tax advisory. Significant exposure to Southeast Asia, and APAC markets. (Europe and North American markets are nice to have) Direct experience in scaling startup financial operations from Series A to Series C, including fundraising, investor reporting, and preparing for future exits/IPO. Track record in managing fundraising, M&A transactions (buy-side & sell-side), and integration projects. Experience in technology, B2B, B2G or industrial sectors is advantageous. Skills: Strong strategic and analytical acumen. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to operate in fast-paced startup environments. Proven ability to design and implement scalable financial processes, systems and controls from the ground up. Expertise in fundraising strategy, and investor reporting for board-level communication. Adept at cross-border financial management, tax structuring, and compliance. Ability to balance strategic vision with operational discipline.
