Job Description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing daily Nostro reconciliations to ensure timely identification, investigation, and resolution of breaks.

  • Perform daily Nostro reconciliations using reconciliation platforms like SmartStream or Duco to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes.
  • Monitor exception workflows and escalate aged breaks to relevant stakeholders for prompt attention.
  • Liaise with Operations, Treasury, Product Control, IT, and external counterparties to resolve discrepancies in reconciliation processes.
  • Analyze root causes of reconciliation breaks and implement preventive measures to enhance control effectiveness.
  • Ensure reconciliations meet internal policy, regulatory, and audit requirements for financial services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3–6 years of experience in Nostro or cash reconciliation within financial services.
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliation tools like SmartStream, Duco, or IntelliMatch.
  • Strong understanding of Nostro accounts, settlements, and cash management workflows for effective reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) for efficient data processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and root causes of reconciliation breaks.
  • Good communication skills to interact with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Technology for collaborative issue resolution.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deadlines to achieve reconciliation targets.
