The Retail Operations Executive provides crucial support in managing the day-to-day commercial operations of ECCO Singapore retail. Assisting in achieving sales / KPI targets as well as people management, they play a key role in reviewing retail KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and assisting in executing retail initiatives and action plans. Their responsibilities include offering timely support to all stores, contributing to weekly business reviews, sharing market information with management and assisting in developing action plans to maximize sales and profit. They also support in building and nurturing relationships with landlords and other business partners while maintaining a premium brand positioning.
RETAIL SALES DEVELOPMENT
Support in ensuring a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.
Monitoring POS performance to achieve targets.
Help compile and analyse sales results, retail KPIs, and competitor activities regularly to identify opportunities and suggest action plans for ECCO’s competitiveness.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide timely support to all POS.
Assist in managing stock levels and ensuring timely replenishment to optimize all SKUs.
Ensure all POS are following ECCO standard of operations and landlord’s policies and procedure.
STORE OPERATION
Support in enhancing ECCO's brand image through store VM, sales team grooming, and store upkeep (assist in the VM of the store if required).
Assist in implementing SOPs and ensuring strict adherence.
Participate in sales team recruitment and selection.
Participate in stock-take at the ECCO concepts and departmental stores. Investigate causes for any inventory discrepancies.
Handle customers’ complaints, returns, and after sales service escalated from stores.
Assist in day-to-day store operations and optimize duty rosters for maximum efficiency and saving expenses.
Regular interdepartmental liaising with human resources, marketing, logistics, information technology, customer service and finance departments to ensure business efficiencies.
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
Ensure sales team follow ECCO service standards and store operational practices (SOPs).
Assist in motivating, evaluating, and retaining sales team members and fostering team spirit.
Improve sales team productivity and ensure team development through regular coaching and store visits - VM, sales techniques and customer service.
Partner with Trainer to ensure that products and practical skills training sessions are conducted regularly.
Help monitor staff performance, develop sales team, and assist to conduct APR with Retail Operations Manager.
Assist in conducting performance assessments, goal setting, career management, and salary reviews according to training and HR guidelines.
Ensure effective manpower coverage for all stores and submission of staff OT hours.
Propose and work closely with Retail Operations Manager on manpower allocation by store.
Initiate and execute incentive programs and monitor ROI.
Ensure sales team are well informed about promotional initiatives and execute these initiatives.
Investigate and provide solutions for operational challenges.
SALES TEAM MANAGEMENT
Ensure sales team follows ECCO service standards and store SOPs are always executed on the sales floor.
Assist in motivating, evaluating, and retaining sales team members and fostering team spirit.
Improve sales team productivity and ensure sales team development through regular coaching and stores visits.
Contribute strategic insights for long-term sales planning initiatives.
Ensure accurate and consistent communication to staff on VM, sales techniques, and customer service.
Contribute to feedback inputs and co-operate with Trainer to ensure that products and practical skills training sessions are conducted with new sales team and all trainings are up to date with sales team.
Help monitor staff performance and assist to conduct twice yearly appraisals.
Ensure effective manpower coverage for all stores and submission of staff OT hours.
Propose and work closely with Retail Operations Manager on manpower allocation by stores.
Initiate and execute incentive programme.
Ensure sales team are well informed about promotional initiatives and execute these initiatives.
Promote teamwork and develop a strong relationship with all sales promoters.
Investigate and provide solution for operational challenges.
OTHERS
Participate in marketing activities and roadshows to promote the brand.
Implement SOPs for ensuring consistent operational quality if deemed necessary.
Assist in exploring retail expansion opportunities and ensuring ECCO's presence in viable locations.
Act as a Brand Ambassador by obtaining extensive knowledge about the brand and representing it internally and externally.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong business acumen and retail math.
Good spoken and written English to liaise with buyers and landlords.
At least 2 to 4 years of retail experience as an Area Manager or Assistant Retail Operations Manager.
Strong sense of urgency, highly energetic, results driven and get things done.
Keen on people development and has the ability to drive sales performance.
Good coaching, teambuilding, and people management skills.
Ability to drive performance within teams.
Energetic and proactive. A motivating can-do attitude is required.
Sales and customer oriented.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Conducting regular store visits is a must.
