Senior Research Assistant Job ">

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Assistant to lead the research and development of an autonomous multi-robot system for urban reconnaissance. The ideal candidate would possess strong expertise in multi-agent/multi-robot systems, including experience in algorithm and systems development, field testing, and deployment, as well as a collaborative mindset required for multidisciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on autonomous multi-robot system for urban reconnaissance, focusing on algorithm and systems development using MARL and Foundation Models.
  • Lead and participate in field trials: plan, execute, and analyze system performance during tests in various urban environments.
  • Write and present publications to be submitted to major robotics conferences.
  • Support documentation for software, test plans, and deployment procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related fields.
  • Experience conducting research in Reinforcement Learning (RL) or Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL).
  • Experience with Foundation Models e.g. Large Language Models (LLM), Vision Language Models, etc.
  • Proficiency in common machine learning frameworks, such as PyTorch.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with OpenAI gym.
  • Experience with robot deployment and testing in real-world settings.
  • Experience in Robotics simulators such as IssacSim or HabitatSim.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in challenging environments.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to travel and participate in field deployments as needed.
  • Ability to travel to local and overseas conferences to present research findings.
