Job Title: Energy Management Specialist

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company's sustainability agenda and minimizing its environmental footprint. This energy management specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective energy policies, systems, and improvement plans to reduce energy consumption and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark current energy practices and identify areas for improvement through data analysis and site assessments.
  • Conduct thorough energy surveys, audits, and inspections to gather comprehensive data on existing practices.
  • Analyze and maintain accurate records of energy monitoring data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote renewable energy sources and sustainable practices across the organization.
  • Manage energy supply contracts with external stakeholders and negotiate optimal rates.
  • Lead energy-related projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Promote best practices in energy efficiency and conservation throughout the organization.
  • Stay updated with relevant energy and environmental regulations to inform policy development.
  • Provide training and guidance on energy efficiency techniques to colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of energy regulations, conservation practices, and carbon management principles.
  • Experience with energy monitoring systems and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with carbon management and renewable energy technologies is an advantage.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of ISO 50001 or similar energy management standards.
