Energy Efficiency Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for benchmarking energy consumption and identifying areas for improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Benchmark energy consumption and identify opportunities for reduction.
  • Conduct site inspections, energy surveys, and audits to assess current practices and recommend improvements.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate energy monitoring data and records to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and implement energy policies, systems, and annual improvement plans to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Manage and negotiate energy supply contracts and liaise with external stakeholders to ensure optimal pricing and service delivery.
  • Lead energy-related and workplace safety projects in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Promote renewable energy and sustainable practices across the organization to minimize environmental impact.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant energy and environmental legislation to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance on energy efficiency and conservation to employees and stakeholders.
  • Oversee carbon management and reduction initiatives to minimize the organization's carbon footprint.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of energy regulations, conservation practices, and sustainability principles.
  • Experience with energy monitoring systems and data analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with carbon management and renewable energy technologies is a plus.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ISO 50001 or similar energy management standards is desirable.
