Job Opportunity: Equipment Support Specialist
The Equipment Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing on-site and off-site technical assistance to resolve operational issues with equipment without disrupting business operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Equipment Installation, Commissioning, and Validation: Install, commission, and validate equipment during projects and repairs to ensure seamless operation.
- Maintenance of Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records for warranty and insurance purposes, including documentation and reports.
- Diagnosis and Repair: Independently diagnose and repair equipment on-site or in the workshop, using technical knowledge and skills to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support and Solutions: Provide immediate support to vessels and develop solutions for safe operation, adhering to industry regulations and guidelines.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document inspections, maintenance, and service work, as well as report deficiencies in deliveries, quantities, or quality.
- Tool Maintenance and Calibration: Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency in repairs and maintenance.
- Safety and Regulations: Prioritize safety and follow regulations, interacting professionally with technical personnel and representing the company.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. They should be able to stay updated on new products and technologies through training and develop skills in other specializations to become self-sufficient in repairs and service.
Essential Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency in installation, commissioning, and validation of equipment; experience in diagnosis and repair of equipment; and expertise in tool maintenance and calibration.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with technical personnel; and effective documentation and reporting skills.
