The Automotive Body and Paint Specialist will be responsible for repairing and painting vehicles to a high-quality finish. This includes sanding vehicle body panels, applying body filler (putty), and using a spray gun to apply primer, base coat, and top coat.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding and filling dents and scratches.
- Apply multiple coats of paint using a spray gun, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Mix and match paint colors as required, following standard color charts and specifications.
- Sand between coats to ensure a smooth surface and perform necessary touch-ups.
- Polish painted surfaces and apply rustproofing and protective sealants to protect the vehicle's exterior.
- Follow all safety protocols when working with power tools, chemicals, and at heights.
- Relevant experience in automotive body repair and paint work.
- Skilled in operating spray guns, sanders, and other equipment.
- Responsible, hardworking, and physically fit individual able to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a well-ventilated area, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
