What the role is:
As a Senior Head/Senior Manager in the University Policy Branch, Higher Education Policy Division, you will be part of a dynamic team involved in the formulation, review, and implementation of policies to develop the higher education landscape in Singapore, with a specific focus on the Autonomous Universities (AUs) sector. This position offers an in-depth understanding of the AUs, opportunities to work closely with the AUs, other government agencies, and stakeholders, and an appreciation of various policy and operational considerations in social and economic domains. It provides an opportunity to shape the future of higher education. This is an individual contributor role. We welcome individuals with or without work experience to apply. What you will be working on:

  • Formulate, review, and implement policies concerning the AU sector (e.g., governance, funding, educational pathways, course offerings, student engagement) to prepare students for work and life, and to enhance the strengths and reputation of the AUs.
  • Conduct long-term strategic planning for the AU sector to prepare AUs and students for future challenges.
  • Guide AUs on operationalizing policies and coordinate with other MOE divisions for support.
  • Assess opportunities and represent the AU sector's interests in international collaborations related to university education.
  • Support MOE political office holders and senior management in local and overseas engagements related to university education. What we are looking for:
