**What the role is**
- As a Manager/ Senior Manager, Safety under the Safety, Security and Emergency Branch in the Infrastructure and Facility Services Division, you will be part of a team that oversees workplace safety and health and student safety matters in schools, with a focus on Special Education schools.

**What you will be working on**
- Conduct research and studies on applicable safety standards for Special Education schools
- Work with stakeholders in MOE and Special Education schools to validate and review their safety management system, staff and student activities and risk assessment framework to ensure compliance with MOE policies and external legal requirements such as MOM Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and standards
- Investigate and identify root cause of incidents or accidents to recommend solutions
- Work with relevant Divisions in MOE to develop and communicate safety standards/policies, and promote safety practices to Special Education schools so as to enhance safety culture
- Highlight and address safety irregularities, which include the writing of papers/submissions and presentation of recommendations to the management
- Work with stakeholders in MOE to analyse incident data for reporting at management meetings
- Perform the role of a Secretariat for MOE School Safety Committee and other meetings where required

**What we are looking for**
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in handling workplace safety and health matters, and preferably a Registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer
- Working knowledge and/or experience in Special Education environment, and/or co-ordination of WSH-related matters with government agencies (e.g. MOM, WSH Council, NEA etc) would be an advantage
- A highly motivated individual with good communication, writing, presentation, time management and interpersonal skills
