We are working with a leading technology company to hire a Lead System Engineer with expertise in electronics, mechanics, optics, firmware, and systems. This role will be central to transforming complex requirements into innovative, high-quality products and solutions, partnering closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams from concept through to launch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of all technical aspects in product development, collaborating with stakeholders to define system requirements.
  • Identify technical constraints and ensure requirements are realistic and achievable.
  • Lead the technical workstream to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with quality and cost targets.
  • Design the system architecture, breaking it into clear domains that meet system specifications, safety requirements, and manufacturing cost goals.
  • Develop, review, and optimise system test cases and specifications to ensure quality, robustness, and efficiency.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to explore and integrate new technologies for future products.
  • Support product lifecycle activities, including coordinating failure analysis and driving design improvements.
  • Establish and manage the system verification plan to support test-driven development.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, guiding cross-functional teams and resolving challenges.
  • Monitor and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in R&D product development for embedded systems, with involvement in at least five full-cycle product launches.
  • Proven ability to resolve cross-functional technical issues in embedded system design.
  • Strong knowledge of EMC/EMI, electronics design, software development, and thermal management.
  • Solid understanding of sensor technologies and their principles.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying product regulatory standards to guide engineering decisions.
