Advanced Manufacturing Professional

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Professional to contribute to our interdisciplinary team at the NUS Centre for Additive Manufacturing. This role involves driving innovation in additive manufacturing, leveraging advanced 3D printing technologies to develop innovative healthcare products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and submit proposals for advanced manufacturing projects to various funding agencies.
  • Manage the product development cycle, from understanding customer requirements to delivering the finished product. This includes iterative design and development using various 3D printing technologies.
  • Utilize knowledge of 3D printing capabilities, material properties, and cost optimization strategies to create effective designs.
  • Continuously improve and iterate product designs using multiple types of 3D printing machines, ensuring high quality and innovation.
  • Work with teams to propose and explore innovative directions in advanced manufacturing.
  • Design and develop medical devices, implants, and instruments in collaboration with clients. This includes managing the entire design process from concept to market launch, encompassing research, prototyping, laboratory testing, iteration, design for manufacturing, and detailed design of final parts and assemblies.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by interacting effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with the preparation, execution, and evaluation of center grant proposals and projects.
