Lab Research Assistant Position

We are seeking a diligent and proactive professional to support our refrigerant reclamation operations. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and purity of reclaimed refrigerants, adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analytical testing and quality control on incoming, reclaimed, and processed refrigerant samples.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate sampling and address any quality-related concerns.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as Gas Chromatographs (GC), halide detectors, and titration equipment used in refrigerant analysis.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and risk assessments to reflect current practices.
  • Record test results accurately and ensure timely preparation and delivery of test certificates and reports to clients.
  • Safely manage chemical storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
  • Monitor and manage laboratory inventory, including refrigerant standards, chemical reagents, and consumables.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience, preferably in refrigerant, HVAC, or chemical analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) and titration methods is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of chemical safety, environmental compliance, and laboratory best practices.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
