Job Title: Nursing Education Specialist

Nursing Education and Professional Development

The Nurse Educator plays a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the continuing education, training, and professional development of nursing staff.

This includes identifying learning needs of nursing staff, developing evidence-based nursing education and training programs, facilitating orientation, continuing education, and competency-based training for nursing staff.

In addition, this role involves providing guidance and mentorship to student nurses during clinical attachments, collaborating with clinical leaders to align training programs with organizational goals and patient care standards.

  • Assess and identify learning needs of nursing staff.
  • Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing education and training programs.
  • Facilitate orientation, continuing education, and competency-based training for nursing staff.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to student nurses during clinical attachments.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to align training programs with organizational goals and patient care standards.

Requirements include:

  • Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Degree in Nursing.
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Education.
  • 9–11 years of clinical nursing experience, including a minimum of 2 years teaching in a healthcare or nursing academic setting.
  • Passionate and dedicated to nursing education and teaching.
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to inspire learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Results-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
