Job Responsibilities:As a Junior Sommelier, you will assist the Head Sommelier in daily operations of the wine program, including inventory, cellar management, and wine service. You will guide guests through the wine list with thoughtful recommendations tailored to their palate and menu selections. Ensure proper storage, handling, and presentation of all wines. Support the front-of-house team with wine pairings and service etiquette. Participate in regular tastings, training sessions, and supplier visits to expand your knowledge. Contribute to maintaining a seamless and gracious guest experience at every touchpoint.
Requirements:We are looking for a strong interest in wine, with prior experience in hospitality or beverage service preferred. A warm, professional demeanor is required, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential. Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays (flexible shifts for part-time applicants) is necessary.
