**About the role**

The **Credit Specialist **will work through assigned customer related activities to ensure they are dealt with in a courteous, accurate & timely manner and adhere to the TBS principles & Credit policy. A local contact/ liaison at the regional office. The key purpose of this role is to support the operations of the Credit/receivables process within the TBS model. Working within the defined credit policies & set TBS guidelines, highlighting exceptions to the OTC process. Responsible for communications related to credit refusal, security, letters of credit and deposit etc. Mitigation of potential risk of bad debt via working within the set guidelines as defined within policy and set operational KPI/SLA's across Customer Services TBS.
- Local touchpoint operating within the TBS model.
- Act as a Key Customer contact.
- Assist in managing to resolve customer disputes to remove obstacles to improve the customer experience
- Monitor and approve Credit limit unblock within set guidelines & to meet the deadline for the release of orders to the warehouse for delivery by working closely with Customer Service
- Authorize new customer credit limit and existing customer credit extensions as per DAL limits.
- Initiating and working closely with our Offshore partners in ensuring that regular credit reviews throughout the entire customer lifecycle and during major economic shifts (global/domestic) in line with the TWE Credit Policy.
- Proactively manage the debtor's exposure by evaluating market intelligence, risk profiles and sales input
- Ensure that all collection activity is conducted within legislative and policy guidelines within country
- Advise sales when supply will be interrupted.
- Coordinate the validation of claims and the timely resolution of disputes
- Contact the customer to negotiate the payment of overdue accounts as per guidelines to ensure a favourable outcome for both TWE and Customer
- Monitor the age and number of unapplied receipts resolving allocation issues with the customers
- Ensure trade promotional claims are resolved within agreed timeframes and are in line with business
- Ensure compliance of Credit policy & procedures at a Region level and report any exceptions to Credit Manager.
- Meet KPI metrics for TBS Customer Services/AR processing in line with company set targets
- Alignment to the key principles of the Global TBS OTC stream.
- Actively participation in regular service meetings with TBS/Finance teams (ATB reviews/Operational etc.)
- Input into TBS/ AR projects as required
- Work with offshore teams in reporting clear and accurate commentary for monthly Key Customer reporting.

**About you**
- Bachelor's degree
- Preferred experience in FMCG Credit/AR teams
- minimum 5+ Years Credit experience.
- Collection & Credit Management SLA's & Commercial Awareness impacts, influencing results.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in working within set targets/ KPI's and achieving
- Worked within a shared service environment preferred
- Understood local credit legislation applicable to market Wine industry experience desirable
