Product Specialist, Alternatives Investment

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Specialist to join our Private Markets & Alternatives team at Bank of Singapore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the build-out of private equity, private credit, private infrastructure, private co-investments, and hedge funds.
Key Responsibilities- Originate and source private market and hedge funds, maintaining a pipeline of opportunities for discussion and consideration by the AIMS management team.
- Perform and lead private market and hedge fund on-boarding workstreams, including financial, commercial, operational, tax, and legal due diligence, and completion of relevant internal checklists and processes.
- Review and negotiate agreements, offering memoranda, and documentation related to the on-boarding and distribution of private market and hedge funds by Bank of Singapore.
- Manage and liaise with legal, compliance, tax advisors, and other service providers for the negotiation and drafting of legal documentation.
- Provide eligible clients with access to investment opportunities across various stages of growth, including growth capital, debt financing, and anchor investments.
- Prepare internal BOS operations processes and support for subscriptions, closings, capital calls, distributions, and other related corporate actions.
- Prepare materials, complete relevant checklists, and manage the internal approval process for the on-boarding and distribution of private market and hedge funds.
- Lead the education and training of internal parties, relationship managers, and clients on private market funds and strategies.
- Monitor and report on private market and hedge fund investment performance, market-related activity, and continued eligibility to remain on the BOS platform.
- Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in asset management or private banking as a product specialist, with experience in client engagement and customer experience.
- Strong investment background with solid knowledge of alternatives investments products.
- Comfortable presenting investment ideas to a varied audience.
- Proven analytical capabilities and data analysis skills.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills, with experience drafting detailed investment analyses.
- Clear articulation of sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience or interest in developing skills in Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.
- Self-starter with high attention to detail and adaptability to tight deadlines.
- Desire and ability to be part of a dynamic team with a strong team-player orientation.
- Undergraduate or graduate education from a prestigious institution with specialization in finance, accounting, or other analytical fields.
- CFA/CAIA holder will be an advantage.
