The successful candidate will oversee the renovation and upgrading of campus buildings and facilities, ensuring alignment with university goals and objectives.
We require a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, consulting, construction management, or facilities management.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Oversight: Ensure timely completion of projects, adhering to design requirements and regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate project teams and contractors to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Tender Process Management: Lead the tender process, from bid solicitation and evaluation to contract award recommendations.
- Contract Administration: Administer and enforce construction contracts, including managing payments, change orders, and other contractual obligations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage stakeholders to determine user requirements, aligning their needs, preferences, timelines, and funding constraints for effective project planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Consultancy, Construction Management, Project Management, or Facilities Management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local regulations, building construction, building services design, installation, and maintenance.
- Proven expertise in project management, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in managing tender processes, contractor negotiations, and contract administration.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
