
Track Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

Job Purpose:
The Track Infrastructure Maintenance Leader is responsible for leading a team of engineers to ensure the safety and reliability of the track and third rail system through preventive, corrective, and overhaul maintenance, as well as timely renewal planning.
This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on engineering and maintenance efforts to ensure system reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Work in various SMRT depots, tracks, or facilities
- Work in rotating or fixed shifts (in accordance with MOM guidelines)
- Provide leadership and management to Track Infrastructure Maintenance
- Monitor system performance and identify technical problems and concerns
- Develop effective and sustainable solutions to deliver safe and dependable performance of the PWay system
Key Performance Indicators and Quality Maintenance Requirements:
Ensure Branch KPIs and quality maintenance requirements are met.
This may involve hands-on troubleshooting of faults, technical investigation, failure trend analysis, and interfacing with staff from other departments on technical issues.
Maintenance Work Processes:
Review maintenance work processes to ensure efficient maintenance operations that deliver safe, reliable, timely, and efficient public transport.
Defect Trends Analysis:
Analyze defect trends to identify reliability concerns. Develop methods, propose modifications, and improve maintenance strategies to overcome them.
System Hazard Log and Risk Register:
Review and update the System Hazard log and Risk register.
Cost-Effective Technologies:
Identify and implement cost-effective technologies to enhance track and third rail system performance.
Engineering Solutions:
Council engineers to perform accurate diagnostics and develop sustainable engineering solutions to overcome reliability concerns.
Staff Safety and Welfare:
Responsible for the safety, welfare, learning, and development of staff members.
Safety Concerns:
Observe and report any safety concerns at the workplace.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Civil, or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution, with 10 years of working experience in managerial positions in a maintenance organization.
Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous.
