Market Data Contract Negotiator

">Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Data Services Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic management of market data contracts, ensuring optimal pricing and cost control mechanisms are in place.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Contract Renewal Management: Work closely with supply chain, business stakeholders, and data vendors to review usage and requirements, ensuring contract renewals are executed at the best possible price.
  • MDS Service Procurement: Support internal business for the procurement of new MDS services, covering initial advisory support, vendor negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Commercial Performance: Negotiate complex deals and ensure commercial performance meets set targets.
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage and drive large, complex relationships with key strategic vendors, ensuring compliance with Vendor Risk Framework and fostering a commercial partnership approach.
  • Data Governance: Proactively identify and address non-compliant data usage, ensure proper licensing is in place, and inform the business on market data usage policies.
  • Cost Forecasting: Provide MDS cost forecast and savings plan for COO AM and drive strategic initiatives to achieve cost savings targets.
About the Role:

You'll be part of the Data Services and Investment Accounting function team in Singapore, collaborating closely with the Chief Data Office, Traditional Operations, and Investment Business Management teams.

Your Expertise:

Familiarity with platforms Refinitiv Thomson Reuters and Datastream.

Understanding of vendor contract terms, pricing structures, and cost control mechanisms.

Expertise in data governance frameworks and master data management.

Proficiency in analytics tools and dashboards.

Strategic alignment with transformation initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
