Job Opportunity: Heat Health Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Heat Health Researcher.

This role involves working with us to advance our understanding of heat-related health impacts and develop innovative solutions to mitigate these effects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of research projects focused on heat health and human performance.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify knowledge gaps and develop new research ideas.
  • Conduct literature searches, summarize key information, and identify areas for further investigation.

As a Heat Health Researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including both infield and laboratory-based studies.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and conducting quantitative studies, including lab and outfield studies.
  • Performing biological sampling, sample processing, and wet laboratory assays.
  • Establishing and managing large databases.
  • Interpreting and analyzing data.
  • Generating reports and presenting data to stakeholders.
Qualifications

A minimum qualification of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Exercise Science, Physiology, or equivalent is required.

Candidates should have a strong laboratory-based background, demonstrated practical laboratory experience, and be comfortable working with human biological samples.

Additional skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong interest in heat health and human performance.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools.
  • Two or more years of research and/or laboratory work experience would be an advantage.
  • Proven knowledge of data collection methods.
  • Experience in wet laboratory techniques.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful and self-driven.
  • Adaptable and able to multitask well with clear follow-through.
