Job Description">

The Heat Resilience & Performance Centre is seeking a Research Fellow to spearhead and conduct research on heat health and human performance.

This role involves driving the development, execution, and analysis of research that leverages technology and data science to address challenges arising from rising ambient temperatures.

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising exercise and thermal physiologists, data scientists, biomedical engineers, built environment experts, and researchers focused on developing heat health prediction and thermo-physiological models.

  • Develop research strategies and ensure timely project completion.
  • Design research protocols and data analysis approaches based on the research agenda.
  • Lead and train research teams.
  • Manage projects, execute research plans, and establish large databases.
  • Interpret and analyze data using various methods and modeling techniques.
  • Generate reports and present data to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across teams and communicate with stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • Doctorate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., data science, computer science, computational biology, engineering, statistics, mathematics).
  • Experience and interest in prediction modeling.
  • Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages.
  • Keen interest in heat health and human performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good track record of international publications in human research.
  • Resourceful, self-driven, and able to multitask well.
  • High levels of attention to detail and quality.
