Database Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced database specialist to manage and optimize our enterprise-grade RDBMS platforms. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with expertise in script tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain high-performance RDBMS platforms.
  • Manage cloud-hosted databases for high availability, cost efficiency, and scalability.
  • Conduct performance optimization, rewriting queries, refining indexes, and execution plans.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis, and provide actionable solutions.
  • Review, refactor, and advise on SQL scripts from development teams.
  • Define strategies for data retention, archival, and secure deletion.
  • Implement automated monitoring, backup, and administrative tasks using scripting tools.
  • Ensure database access control, encryption, and compliance with regulatory standards.
