Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Management Specialist to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle database environments to ensure optimal efficiency and high availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage Oracle RAC environments to provide high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Perform database installations, upgrades, and patches to maintain the integrity of our database systems.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency, ensuring that our databases operate at peak levels.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design and implementation.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and conduct regular security audits to implement best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing Oracle RAC.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl for automation.
Preferred Skills:
  • Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with database compliance standards such as PCI DSS and HIPAA.
  • Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
