Job Description:

 

In the dynamic environment of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), our team is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Junior Consultant to join our ranks. This role will provide an unparalleled opportunity for growth, learning, and development in the field of neonatal care.

 

As a Junior Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to all babies admitted to the NICU. Your duties will include attending daily rounds, following the daily plan, preparing admission and discharge summaries, ensuring clear documentation and communication, and performing procedures in the NICU under supervision or independently.

 

Key responsibilities include attending deliveries under the supervision of a rostered consultant, admitting babies for supervision and observation post-delivery, reviewing high-risk babies in the post-natal ward, conducting baby examinations, administering vaccines, participating in newborn screening, and creating discharge plans in consultation with consultants.

 

During out-of-hours shifts, you will discuss treatment plans with the on-call consultant, respond to outpatient calls, and attend emergencies promptly.

 

Furthermore, as a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for examining, prescribing, and managing pediatric inpatient admissions after discussions with the incharge consultant, documenting daily progress, and performing procedures such as IV cannulation if necessary.

 

This exciting full-time role is suited for candidates with 0-4 years of experience who are dedicated to providing high-quality care to neonates and infants in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

 

Our ideal candidate should hold an MBBS degree with MD/DNB/DCH qualifications and preferably have completed a fellowship in Neonatology.
