Job Opportunity in Neonatal Intensive Care

    We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatal Healthcare Professional to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a Registrar, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to newborns admitted to the NICU.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Attending daily rounds to assess patient condition
  • Following the daily plan to ensure optimal care delivery
  • Preparing admission and discharge summaries for accurate record-keeping
  • Ensuring clear documentation and communication with healthcare teams
  • Performing procedures in the NICU under supervision or independently

    In addition to your responsibilities in the NICU, you will also be expected to:

  • Attend deliveries under the supervision of a rostered consultant
  • Admit babies for supervision and observation post-delivery
  • Review high-risk babies in the post-natal ward
  • Conduct baby examinations, administer vaccines, and participate in newborn screening
  • Create discharge plans in consultation with consultants

    During out-of-hours shifts, you will discuss treatment plans with the on-call consultant, respond to outpatient calls, and attend emergencies promptly. In the inpatient pediatric ward, you will be responsible for examining, prescribing, and managing pediatric inpatient admissions after discussions with the incharge consultant, documenting daily progress, and performing procedures such as IV cannulation if necessary.

    To qualify for this position, you should hold an MBBS degree with MD/DNB/DCH qualifications and preferably have completed a fellowship in Neonatology.

    This full-time role is suited for candidates with 0-4 years of experience who are dedicated to providing high-quality care to neonates and infants in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
