Senior API Manufacturing Lead

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the manufacturing process and ensure smooth execution aligned with our production schedule.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to Life Science projects for clients by overseeing API manufacturing and plant operations during a 12-hour shift.
  • Manage non-conformances by facilitating communication within and across teams, providing investigation input, ensuring timely documentation correction, and preventing delays in batch release.
  • Support operational excellence by conducting GEMBA walks, identifying improvement opportunities, driving process enhancements, and maintaining the plant in a constant state of audit readiness.
  • Lead or contribute to Tier 2 meetings, cross-functional discussions, and safety assessments while ensuring adherence to EHS standards and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Assist the Manufacturing Manager/Lead in daily planning and area activities, and act as deputy during their absence.
  • Mentor, coach, and train chemical technicians, participate in recruitment, manage team performance, and cultivate a collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Life Science, Chemical Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of pharmaceutical experience in a GMP environment (preferably API).
  • Minimum of 2 years of people management experience is preferred.
  • Able to work comfortably in 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night).
  • Leadership experience in training less experienced Chemical Technicians required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
