API Gateway Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled API Gateway Architect to design, implement and manage API Gateway solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM API Connect v10 and DataPower administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust API Gateway solutions using IBM API Connect v10 and DataPower.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate API publishing tasks using CI/CD tools like GitHub.
  • Install, patch and upgrade IBM API Connect v10 for optimal performance and security.
  • Support API Gateway migration projects by applying best practices and industry standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot API Gateway performance and reliability in on-premises and cloud environments, particularly AWS EKS.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for API Gateway configurations, processes and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with API Gateways, specifically IBM API Connect v10.
  • Strong experience with DataPower administration, including installation and patch management.
  • Proven track record in CI/CD practices and automation in API publishing.
  • Experience working with AWS (particularly AWS EKS) and hybrid deployment models.
  • Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Kubectl CLI tools.
  • Proficient in Linux OS, with strong troubleshooting abilities in Linux environments.
