Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Sales and Marketing Professional to join our team at FRESHDIRECT PTE LTD.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled sales professional to drive business growth, develop new relationships, and expand our market presence in the food industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the perishable food market, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market reach.
  • Identify and prospect potential clients, generate leads, and establish new business relationships through networking, cold calling, and industry research.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, providing solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our food products, features, uses, and benefits to effectively communicate with clients and address their requirements.
  • Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and sales pitches to potential clients, highlighting the value proposition and benefits of our products.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, aiming to secure profitable deals and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities, threats, and areas for business growth.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCE 'O' level or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' work experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the food sales/manufacturing industry.
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with English and Mandarin-speaking customers.
  • Proven sales experience in the food industry, preferably with perishable goods.
  • Strong understanding of the perishable food market and distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and incentives.
