Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
  2. Work closely with the Sous Chefs to ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  3. Train and develop new staff members, providing guidance on kitchen procedures and protocols.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  5. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
  6. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Chef or equivalent role.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to train and develop staff members.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
