Care Shelter Assistant

The core responsibility of this role is to provide supervision and support to the residents in our shelter. The person will need to assist in programs and help manage volunteers. Other duties include performing housekeeping tasks, ensuring security, and maintaining a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Resident Support:
- Receive new admissions and allocate rooms, pantry, and Admission Starter Kit
- Repair works and respond to requests in a timely manner
- Supervision:
- Child-minding services for children when their mothers are attending programs or sessions
- Manage situations and supervise residents to ensure safety and well-being
- Programme Assistance:
- Support the running of programs
- Manage and work with volunteers in running programs
- Accompany residents for outings and events
- Housekeeping:
- Clean and set up rooms and dormitories for new admissions before arrival and after discharge
- Conduct routine room checks and work with residents to meet cleanliness and safety standards
- Support the Residential Supervisor in managing rations and donations-in-kind
- Repair works and respond to requests in a timely manner
- Security and Safety:
- Perform guardhouse duty as per designated shift, with flexibility to changes in shift
- Keep vigilant and report incidents of concern, supporting the Operations Supervisor in incident management
- Attend to emergencies after operating hours and inform management
- Monitor and regularly update residents' attendance and movement record
- Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Centre Director
