Job Summary

The core responsibility will be to oversee and cater to the needs of residents in our facility. The person will need to assist in programs and help manage volunteers. Other duties include performing maintenance tasks and ensuring security and safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Catering to Residents' Needs: a) Receive new admissions - allocate room, pantry, Admission Starter Kit and orientation briefing. b) Perform timely repairs / items requests

2. Supervision of Residents: a) Help in child-minding of children when their mothers are attending programs / online court, counseling sessions etc. b) Manage situations and supervise residents to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents

3. Assist in Programs for Residents: a) Help out in the running of programs b) Manage and work with volunteers in running the programs c) Accompany residents for outings and events

4. Maintenance Duties Include: a) Clean and set up rooms and dormitories for new admissions before their arrival and after discharge. b) Conduct routine room checks and work with residents to meet with acceptable cleanliness and safety standards. c) Support the Residential Supervisor in the management of rations and donations-in-kind. d) Perform timely repairs / items requests

5. Security and Safety Duties Include: a) Perform guardhouse duty as per designated shift, with flexibility to changes in shift whenever necessary. b) Keep vigilant and report any incidents of concern and support the Operations Supervisor in incident management whenever necessary. c) Attend to emergencies after the shelter's operating hours and inform management accordingly. d) Monitor and regularly update residents' attendance and movement record.

6. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Centre Director. 7. Able to stay in as a residential staff

Requirements
  • Secondary level schooling
  • 2-3 years' relevant experience
  • Mature and able to work on weekends and night shifts
  • Need to work 3 shifts
