Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the production process. This includes overseeing the performance and results of Quality Control and Assurance, as well as Health, Safety & Environment functions.

This is a challenging position that requires strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of SFA, FSSC/ISO 22K, GMP, HACCP, and other food-related requirements and regulations in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with Food Quality, Safety, and Hygiene standards and requirements
  • Supporting the production team to trouble-shoot and resolve any product quality issues
  • Ensuring that all food safety, quality related, and non-compliance issues are investigated and corrective measures are implemented and adhered to
  • Leading and coordinating internal/external quality audits with relevant parties
  • Preparing Quality and Performance reports for submission to Senior Management
  • Conducting Food Safety & Hygiene and HACCP-related training to blue-collar factory employees

Requirements:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Technology or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of experience in the Food Manufacturing/Food Production industry
  • Hands-on experience in a similar industry setting
  • Good understanding of food safety, health, and environmental safety audit requirements
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
