This involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate positive change in offenders.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of offenders and formulate intervention plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Develop and deliver direct rehabilitative interventions for offenders, ensuring a structured approach to their rehabilitation journey.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance offenders' social capital and improve their overall well-being.
  • Train and audit vendors providing rehabilitation services to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Provide constructive feedback on offender needs and the effectiveness of rehabilitation initiatives.
  • Pursue practice-based research and contribute to policy development, driving continuous improvement in offender rehabilitation.
  • Ensure effective implementation of rehabilitation initiatives, aligning with organisational goals.
  • Develop and enhance rehabilitation skills in Prisons officers, empowering them to make a positive impact.
  • Offer consultancy and support to Prison officers managing inmates with complex needs, promoting holistic care.
  • Contribute to new rehabilitation initiative development, innovating and improving existing programs.
  • Support colleagues during critical incidents or operations as part of the CARE system, demonstrating teamwork and dedication.
  • Perform administrative duties to support above tasks, ensuring seamless execution.
Required Qualities:
  • A strong foundation in Psychology, Counselling or Social Work, with relevant experience and knowledge.
  • A genuine interest in correctional work and a desire to positively impact offenders' lives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a drive for continuous learning, staying up-to-date with best practices.
