Senior Project Manager Job Description

The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead client system implementations.

">

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.">
  • Estimate resources, identify dependencies, and plan project timelines and milestones to develop comprehensive project plans.">
  • Manage the full lifecycle of implementation projects from scoping to testing.">
  • Lead project teams comprising business and IT members, as well as external partners like software vendors.">
  • Communicate project expectations clearly and promptly to team members and stakeholders.">
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, system specifications, and presentations to the Project Steering Committee.">
  • Determine reporting frequency and content, track activities, and troubleshoot issues.">
  • Contribute to establishing project management methodologies, templates, and best practices.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Applied Finance, Banking and Finance, or a relevant discipline.

">

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the capital markets, with at least 5 years in project management within similar areas.

">

Experience implementing Treasury or Capital Markets software such as Murex, Calypso, or similar banking software.

">

Good knowledge of financial products including forwards, futures, swaps, bonds, and options.

">

Proven leadership of large, complex, cross-functional teams and driving results through task coordination and delivery.

">

Experience managing large projects using formal techniques like work plans, status reports, and risk management.

">

PMP or PRINCE II certification is advantageous.

">

Ability to challenge ideas constructively and work with diverse groups to reach consensus; skilled negotiator and conflict resolver.

">

Excellent communication skills for interaction across all organizational levels, including senior management.

">

Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
