To excel in this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests. This involves performing mise en place prior to operations and maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of work areas.
Additionally, you will be expected to perform buffet personnel duties and runner duties as assigned, adhering to daily checklists for cleaning and stocking the restaurant. You will serve guests' orders promptly and accurately, following our quality operating procedures.
It is essential to be aware of all daily soups, specials, and drinks of the day, informing your captain immediately if any items are unavailable. You should also be knowledgeable about all menu items, garnishes, condiments, accompaniments, and preparation methods, as well as correct settings.
Before serving food and beverages to guests, it is crucial to check them carefully. You must ensure that all orders are accurately communicated to the captain and handle equipment with care. To provide exceptional service, anticipate guests' needs and be familiar with regular guests' special requirements and preferences.
Any other duties may be assigned from time to time by management.Requirements
- Minimum GCE 'N' or 'O' level
- WSQ Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures
- Other existing and/or new Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)
Experience in the food and beverage industry will be an added advantage. An excellent service attitude is mandatory, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required. Willingness to perform shift duties, including weekends and public holidays, is also necessary.
