Design Project Manager Job Description

This position involves overseeing the design and implementation of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, as well as experience in construction, interior design, and building information modeling (BIM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.

  • They will work closely with architects, quantity surveyors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that all aspects of a project are properly coordinated.

  • The Design Project Manager will also be responsible for producing detailed designs, carrying out research, and making sure that drawings and plans are technically feasible.

  • Additionally, they will produce rough sketches and sample boards, and choose the most appropriate materials for the design and budget.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as the Design Project Manager will need to work closely with site managers, supervisors, carpenters, and other professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in construction is required, with preference given to female candidates.

  • Interior design skills and knowledge of BIM software are highly desirable.

  • The successful candidate must be fully responsible for all decisions made during the project.
