Equipment Optimization Specialist

About this role:

  • We are seeking an experienced equipment engineer in Diffusion (300mm Fab) who possess knowledge on SPC, DOE, FDC, ECMS and all the statistical analysis tools to help optimize equipment robustness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching engineers in performing hardware trouble shooting.
  • Establishing Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans for all equipment and optimizing PM for quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Liaising with vendors to resolve equipment issues and improve equipment performance.
  • Initiating meetings with process and manufacturing engineers to ensure work is carried out efficiently to meet module objectives.
  • Managing new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hookup, vendor startup, to acceptance of equipment for production.
  • Implementing equipment improvement projects to improve equipment efficiency, cost reduction and reliability of equipment.
  • Forecasting financial budgets for equipment expenditures. Setting up tracking systems to monitor expenditures.
  • Setting targets, goals, and projects for the section to minimize wafer scrap, equipment cost per wafer, optimize equipment capability and utilization to meet operational needs.
  • Providing feedback/training to AEs and TAs on their troubleshooting skills, equipment knowledge, decision making, risks assessment.
  • Following up on SPSR, MRB, 8D, TECN, and ECN documentation for closure of issues/events. Providing guidance to junior engineers.
  • Self-auditing and updating specifications to meet TS16949 Quality Standard requirements.
  • Providing long-term solutions to address daily issues. Resolving departmental hardware chronic issues.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D./M.Sc./Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Physics.
  • 5-8 years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry. EPI expert.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different cultures.
