The Role of Laboratory Analyst

A career opportunity exists for an ambitious and driven Laboratory Analyst to join our research team in Singapore. This exciting role will involve conducting various testing assignments within the assigned department, ensuring timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical analysis using wet chemistry methods, HACH & APHA methodologies, as well as ICP, TOC, IC, FTIR, UV_VIS instrumentation.

The role is based in Singapore and involves working with environmental samples of wastewater, trade effluent, leaching tests of building materials, and suitability tests of water.

  • Conducting Chemical Analysis: Utilize wet chemistry methods, HACH & APHA methodologies, ICP, TOC, IC, FTIR, UV_VIS instrumentation to analyze chemical samples.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment calibration, maintenance, and verification for lab quality management compliance.
  • Sampling and Testing: Perform sampling and on-site testing when required.
  • Lab Management: Maintain 5S, Lab Safety Management, and Chemical Inventory.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure chemicals and consumables availability and requesting replenishment when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree Requirement: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field (minimum educational requirement).
  • Instrumentation Proficiency: Proficient in using equipment such as IC, ICPMS, ICPOES, GC-MS (an added advantage).
  • Testing Concepts: In-depth understanding of testing concepts.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed.
