Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team at Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal support to our business functions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Support
    • Provide efficient and timely legal support to all business functions within the Company Group.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including dealer/distributor agreements, bank facility and security documents, tenders, procurement contracts, and service agreements with vendors/suppliers.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Highlight potential risks and provide recommendations to limit exposure.
  • Dispute Resolution and Compliance
    • Advise and manage disputes/litigation.
    • Administer the Group's intellectual property and proprietary information.
    • Draft and review corporate documents, such as shareholder and board resolutions.
    • Manage external legal counsel.
  • Contracts and Compliance
    • Track and administer key agreements with principals.
    • Formulate and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance of Company Group entities with applicable laws/regulations and directives of Company Group HQ.
    • Conduct training of policies and procedures for staff, such as personal data protection, anti-money laundering, code of business conduct, and ethics.
    • Monitor and audit compliance of policies and procedures.
  • Intellectual Property and Data Protection
    • Protect and administer the Group's intellectual property, proprietary information, and personal data.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Good law degree from a reputable institution.
    • 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience with at least 2 years of prior in-house legal counsel experience.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Strong corporate and commercial background, with experience in the automotive or retail sectors being an advantage.
    • Ability to work efficiently and independently, with good team player and business partner skills.
    • Commercially savvy, with the ability to apply knowledge of the Group's business and operations to provide value-added legal advice and highlight risks.
    • Good communicator with strong interpersonal and time management skills.
    • Able to handle a broad spectrum of practice areas, including banking and finance, corporate commercial work, consumer and data protection, franchising, compliance matters, and disputes.
    • Inquirer and learner with a strong drive for excellence.
