The School of Chemical and Life Sciences is seeking an ambitious Learning and Development Specialist to support the outreach of Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes in our esteemed institution.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Programme Support: The appointee will play a key role in supporting the outreach of CET programmes, including work study programmes and short courses, to cater to the diverse needs of learners.
  • Administrative Operations: We require someone with strong organisational skills to manage the administrative operations of CET programmes, such as scheduling of CET courses, liaising with adjunct lecturers and stakeholders.
  • e-Learning Content Development: The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing engaging e-learning packages for CET learners, leveraging their analytical and conceptualisation skills.
Requirements:
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to navigate complex issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Passion for Training and Education: A genuine passion for training and education is essential, as well as a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is mandatory, and experience with e-learning and video recording tools such as Articulate is highly desirable.
