**It seeks to recruit a suitable individual to serve as **Learning & Development Specialist **to**:

- Help shape an environment where people are motivated to achieve the organisation’s mission and enabled to deliver high performance;
- Implement systems and procedures to develop talent at all levels across the organisation.

The Learning & Development Specialist will report directly to the Director of Development.

**Major Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Determine staff professional growth and development needs
- Facilitate the implementation of individualised development plans for staff
- Facilitate onboarding, orientation and other training needed of all new hires
- Assist staff supervisors and managers to identify training needs amongst staff through training needs analysis, appraisal documentation and general conversations
- Monitor and review effectiveness of training courses attended by staff
- Maintain and oversee the running of CARE’s internal Learning Management System (LMS), including liaising with LMS provider for improvements and reviews
- Create, and maintain, learning materials for the organisation, after consulting with appropriate staff supervisors and managers
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure alignment and relevance of staff learning and development plans and progress
- Maintain database of staff training and competence development records
- Facilitate, liaise, and organise training courses conducted by CARE staff for external stakeholders

**Requirements and Skills**:
1. Proven experience in the field of Learning and Development

2. Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods

3. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices

4. Experience in project management and budgeting

5. Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen

7. Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors

8. Degree holder in a related field

9. Professional certification (e.g. ACTA, ACLP) is a plus
