Biomedical Engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of biomedical systems. As a Senior Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects, conducting preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting breakdowns to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform and complete scheduled preventive maintenance jobs for biomedical systems by following manufacturer's instructions and checklists.
  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdown jobs for biomedical systems by following manufacturer's instructions and checklists.
  • Liaise with user departments and vendors to ensure preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance jobs for biomedical system equipment under service contract are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Liaising with biomedical equipment vendors on commissioning jobs and ensuring newly purchased biomedical equipment function according to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and assisting user departments on IT integration-related issues for biomedical equipment.
  • Placing and expediting parts orders for breakdown jobs.
  • Ensuring scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown jobs for the team are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Liaising with user departments, biomedical equipment vendors to minimize impact to user operations.
  • Assisting user departments on their biomedical equipment inventory.
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends on biomedical equipment for user departments.
  • Participating and providing technical inputs from BME department's perspective in projects, meetings, discussions with various user departments.
  • Liaising with users and purchasing departments on requirements and drafting of technical specifications for procurement of new biomedical equipment.
  • Participating and providing technical inputs from BME department's perspective in evaluation and procurement of biomedical equipment.
  • Providing support and technical decision guidance to technical officers on communication skills, issue resolutions, and customer services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Engineering degree + 5 years working experience
