Biomedical System Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical System Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of biomedical systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

The job involves managing projects, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and ensuring patient safety through proper testing and calibration of biomedical equipment.

  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance jobs according to manufacturer's instructions and checklist.
  • Breakdown Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair breakdown jobs for biomedical systems by following manufacturer's instructions and checklist.
  • User Liaison: Liaise with user departments and vendors to ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance jobs under service contract.
  • Vendor Liaison: Liaise with biomedical equipment vendors on commissioning jobs and ensure newly purchased biomedical equipment meets manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and assist user departments on IT integration related issues for biomedical equipment.
  • Parts Management: Place and expedite parts orders for breakdown jobs.
  • Time Management: Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown jobs for the team are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Impact Mitigation: Liaise with user departments and biomedical equipment vendors to minimize impact on user operations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist user departments in their biomedical equipment inventory management.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends on biomedical equipment for user departments.
  • Technical Input: Participate in and provide technical inputs from BME department's perspective in projects, meetings, and discussions with various user departments.
  • Specifications: Liaise with users and purchasing departments on requirements and drafting of technical specifications for procurement of new biomedical equipment.
  • Evaluation: Participate in and provide technical inputs from BME department's perspective in evaluation and procurement of biomedical equipment.
  • Training: Attend technical training on biomedical equipment arranged by the department.
