We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is a key position that requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading process design, development and implementation in various industries such as chemical plants, incineration plants, food waste plants, water/wastewater plants, offsites & utilities, pollution abatement facilities, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze engineering standards, specifications, drawings, tenders, quotations, and proposal documents to ensure compliance with established codes and regulations.
  • Preliminary and detailed process & mechanical design of chemical plants, incineration plants, food waste plants, water/wastewater plants, offsites & utilities, pollution abatement facilities, etc., including mechanical specification, design calculation, equipment layout design, support design, etc.
  • Collaborate with Building Information Modelling (BIM) teams to develop 3D models that align with design requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external engineering activities to guarantee project objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Prepare mechanical equipment requisitions and ensure procured items conform to specifications and schedules for timely delivery.
  • Conduct technical reviews of mechanical equipment/system vendors' proposals and submissions.
  • Coordinate with equipment/system vendors on mechanical design and installation work during project execution stages.
  • Prepare mechanical technical submissions and work with design leads to liaison with stakeholders, including clients/project consultants, for approval.
  • Develop method statements for equipment installations.
  • Provide support during construction, installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in process & mechanical design for process plants (chemical plants, incineration plants, food waste, water/wastewater plants, offsites & utilities, ACMV, pollution abatement, etc.) with hands-on experience in fast-paced, diverse, and multi-disciplined projects and O&M activities.
  • Familiarity with process & mechanical design codes of practice and standards in Singapore, EN, ASME, and PED.
  • Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D is preferred, as well as proficiency in other related design software/applications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbally and written.
  • Ability and willingness to take on responsibilities and work overtime to meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Able to multitask and be flexible/adaptable to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.
  • Committed to adhering to standards and escalating issues promptly.
