We are seeking a skilled professional to join our IT Infrastructure team. As a key member, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting enterprise databases, ensuring their performance, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Performance Management: Monitor, maintain, and tune database performance to ensure stability and efficiency.
  • Database Operations Support: Support database operations including backup & recovery, replication, and patch management.
  • Capacity Planning: Assist in capacity planning, performance testing, and database sizing activities.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Work with developers and application teams to build and maintain effective database environments.
  • Storage Structure Management: Create and manage storage structures (tablespaces, filesystems) and assist in creating database objects (tables, indexes, views).
  • User Account Management: Manage user accounts, access control, and ensure data is distributed securely and efficiently.
  • Database Upgrades and Maintenance: Support database upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance schedules.
  • Standards and Procedures: Contribute to developing and enforcing database standards and operating procedures.
  • Risk Assessment and Data Security: Participate in risk assessment and contribute to solutions that improve data security and reliability.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support as part of a rotational 24/7 standby for incident resolution.
  • Automation Tool Introduction: Assist in introducing automation tools and scripts to improve efficiency.
