System Operations Specialist: Mission-Critical Systems Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled System Operations Specialist to oversee and enhance mission-critical systems for the Defence sector.

This role involves managing system operations, ensuring governance and compliance, and driving digital transformation initiatives to strengthen system performance and cybersecurity.

  • Provide end-to-end systems management and on-site support
  • Ensure systems meet defined KPIs/SLA and comply with policies, standards, and audits
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, obsolescence, and tech refresh activities
  • Conduct security reviews, vulnerability management, and improve cyber resiliency
  • Maintain asset inventory and support logistics management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and partners to ensure service quality and compliance
  • Drive operational efficiency, governance, and customer satisfaction initiatives

Requirements:

  • Degree in IT or related field with at least 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure management
  • Strong knowledge in system/network troubleshooting and transmission network infrastructure
  • Experience with Windows Server, Linux (virtual environments), and monitoring tools
  • Solid understanding of incident management, escalation, and service delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • A strong understanding of digital transformation and its application in the Defence sector
